The Fremont Wallet - Classic Tan (Architectural Horizontal Bifold)
Tan Veg-Tan / Beige Tiger Thread
An architectural horizontal bifold engineered for a flat, bulk-free carry for cards and folded cash. Handcrafted in Oregon as part of our Pacific Northwest Series, this classic tan edition features horizontal interior card slots with openings facing inward, keeping your cards securely locked in place when folded shut.
An original design created by Martin Leather Company, The Fremont Wallet reimagines traditional bifold storage by rotating the card orientation. Sized identically to our flagship Martin Wallet (6.5" x 4" open), it features 3 horizontal card slots (holding up to 2 cards each, 6 cards total) and two hidden compartments for folded cash or receipts, all while maintaining an ultra-slim, pocket-friendly profile.
Every wallet is individually handcrafted using premium full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, hand-stitched with ultra-durable braided Tiger Thread using the time-honored saddle stitch method, and finished with hand-sanded, Tokonole burnished smooth edges. Built to outlast the pocket it sits in, this heirloom-quality piece naturally darkens over time into a rich, caramel patina.

The Heritage Veg-Tan Leather & Patina
Vegetable tanning is an organic, time-honored process representing less than 10% of all leather produced today. Crafted from heavy-weight U.S. cowhides, this leather is cured slowly in traditional Mexican tanneries using natural plant extracts and tree bark in organic vats, no harsh synthetic chemicals required.
Because it is finished with natural oils, it absorbs the environment around it. Daily use, skin oils, and sunlight will naturally darken and burnish the leather, transforming the natural tan tone into a rich, glass-like caramel finish over time.
Leather Care Guide
• Embrace the Journey: Natural wear, darkening, and patina development are normal, celebrated traits of full-grain veg-tan leather.
• Keep it Dry: If exposed to water, gently blot with a soft cloth and let air-dry naturally away from direct heat.
• Condition Periodically: Apply a high-quality, natural leather balm every 6–12 months to maintain flexibility.
• Avoid Overstuffing: Full-grain leather stretches to conform to your daily carry, but will not shrink back.
